Conservation Corps video and Q&A with James
Halpern, Mark Twain National Forest archaeologist.
Immediately afterwards we’ll show the “Grandin
Mill” video which lasts about 1 hour. Masks &
social distancing are required for this event only.

“How to Talk Ozark in Seven Simple Steps”:

At the True View Theater. Presented by Dr. Brooks Blevins, the Noel Boyd Professor of Ozarks Studies at MSU. Dr. Blevins will be signing his History of the Ozarks, Volumes 1 and 2, after
the presentation.
Next watch the “Just That Much Hillbilly in Me” video. The video will be shown twice.
Saturday, June 19th
Civil War Tour: 9:00am-11:00am
Meet at the Ava City Park Upper Pavilion. Tim Ritter will share his expertise as he leads a caravan to several Civil War sites, including Militia Springs, Ritter Cemetery, Old Water Tower Cemetery and the site of a Civil War
battle.
Growers Market: 8:00am-12:00pm
At the Ava Square. Visit our nationally renowned Growers Market for hand-made items as well as fresh picked vegetables and fruits, and fresh made treats.
Grilled Hamburgers & Hotdogs: 11:00am-1:00pm
At the Ava Square. Come join us for lunch. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips & drinks will be available for purchase.
Food Trucks will be at the Ava Square Saturday
and Sunday featuring delicious tacos, popcorn, snow cones and more!

At the Ava Community Center. All aboard for an enjoyable and informative presentation by local Ava railroad expert, Jon Cluff, followed by Q&A.

Sunday, June 20th
Old Fashioned Social On the Ava Square: 11:00am-4:00pm
Our newly renovated Square is the place to be on Sunday. Hear Ozark music, view artisan demonstrations, and check out the antique cars.
Father’s Day Hike: 9:00am-1:00pm
Meet at the Ava Square and caravan to beautiful Glade Top Trail for an approximately 2-3 hour, guided hike.
Artisans from the Pioneer Heritage Festival of the Ozarks: 11:00am-4:00pm
You’ll be able to visit with local artisans as they demonstrate the arts and crafts of the past.
Lunch
Food Trucks will be available at the Ava Square throughout the day.
Antique Car Club Show: 1:00pm
