Discover the Ozarks Festival 2021 is here! Join us Father’s Day weekend for fun, education, and exploration.
What Is It?
The Discover the Ozarks Festival is a 3-day event held in Ava, Missouri to showcase and celebrate the history, art, and culture of the Ozarks. Originally this event was called the “2500 Miles of Arts & Culture” and was held for seven days with various activities planned each day. Each day the Ava Square was the beginning for the day’s activities. Some of the activities were a Civil War Tour, a visit to a local Elk Ranch, a tour of a major trout hatchery and a tour of the areas historic water mills. There was square dancing and an art show and a trip to McClurg recognized for local picking and grinning musicians. Saturday featured the nationally known “Farmers Market” on the Ava Square. On Sunday, the last day of the Festival, the Ava Square was the focal point for a car show, local artisans and their demonstrations, music, food and socializing. Needless to say a person could spend a day or a week experiencing these many Ozark offerings.
This year the Discover the Ozarks Festival will be held for three days beginning on Friday, June 18th and ending on Sunday, June 20th. The Square in Ava has been renovated to comply with the American Disabilities Act. It is BEAUTIFUL! Join us this June for 3 days of fun and new experiences. It all begins in Ava, “Treasure of the Ozarks” and the gateway to Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes.
